I am an Astrophysicist focusing on the physics and chemistry of the interstellar medium and star formation.
I study the extragalactic interstellar medium by modelling photodissociation regions and performing radiative transfer. I develop codes to examine how the different interstellar medium environmental parameters change the observational diagnostics, which is the key to decode the conditions that prevail in galaxies.
I am the Principal Organizer of the Olympian Symposium series of international conferences. In 2023 I received the Qianjiang Friendship Ambassador Award from the Government of Hangzhou, and the Zhejiang Province Talent Plan Award.
I am based at the Research Center for Computational Earth and Space Sciences of the Zhejiang Laboratory in Hangzhou, China, as a Researcher.
